A Chinese export ware sewing chest on stand, 19th century, a lacquered and gilded sewing stand, the rectangular chest is seated on a base with fleur- de lis side panels, and a wide stretcher with four gilded lions feet, the interior fitted with several small compartments with bone knobs and sewing accoutrements, 71 x 61 x 43 cm, (no key, some losses to accoutrements)
