A 'blance-de-chine' Dehua figure of Damo (Bodhidharma), 18th century, standing barefoot supported on a reed floating above the base of swirling waves, his hands clasped beneath the voluminous folds of his long layered robes, leaving his chest bare, his head slightly turned to one side with well defined features and penetrating gaze, the heavy brows and beard with tight curls, 25 cm high.
