A rectangular shaped snuff box with vacant cartouche, by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1832 the lid with a cast thumb piece, engraved with a band of foliate scroll work enclosing a vacant rectangular cartouche, similar engraving to the sides and larger to the base (no cartouche), gilt interior, height 7.25 cm, length 4.5 cm, depth 1.75 cm, weight 72gms.
