A French 18th century transitional ormolu-mounted kingwood, tulipwood and amaranth breakfront commode, by Jean-George Schlichtig, ParisThe shaped stepped Bleu Turquin marble top with rounded corners to the front, above two long drawers decorated sans-traverses, the angles with scrolling foliate mounts, on scroll legs and acanthus cast sabots, the carcass stamped under the marble J.G. Schlichtig and with Jme mark. Width 110 cm. Depth 51 cm. Height 85 cm .
