A French 18th century Louis XV walnut duchesse en bateau, by Jean-Baptiste Gourdin, Paris, the channelled rail centred to the top by carved flowers, the curved back on padded armrests with scroll supports, the waived apron carved with flowers, on cabriole legs, the underside of the carcass stamped I.Gourdin, covered with green-ground silk floral upholstery. Width 215 cm. Depth 84 cm. Height 98 cm.
