World War I Pocket Notebook, Member of New Zealand Engineers, previous occupation - Architect. The red leather notebook is named to 26417 E Hislop-Jamieson, New Zealand Engineers. Throughout the 120 or so pages the compiler has detailed how to construct bridges over shell holes, dig trenches and importantly, how to tunnel/ mine under an enemy position. Lance Corporal Ebeneezer Hislop Jamieson was a member of the New Zealand Engineers who embarked with the 14th Reinforcements 26 June 1916. He survived the war
