Complete British Horse Guards Uniform 'The Blues' Circa 1880's. Comprising breast and back plates with burnished finish, brass edging with domed brass studs and elaborate leather backed shoulder chains. Helmet has white metal skull, lrg plate and red horse hair plume, brass chin chain and ear rosettes. White buff cross belt and pouch; white belt and buckle; no Regimental badge. Sword, Household Cavalry, 1882 Patt; 34' single fuller to blade by Enfield with v. fine salt and pepper pitting the full length; pierced steel guard inset with Royal cypher, back piece and pommel; f. fish skin grips with several loses; complete with white buff sword knot and steel scabbard; o/a f. cond. Blue jacket; red epaulettes with worn gold bullion borders; white leather gauntlet gloves, trousers and blk Wellington boots; o/a great cond.
