Barrett served in England, India, Burma & Malaya flying approx. 650 hours (130 operational). Aircraft flown include Spitfires, Hurricanes, Buffaloes, Thunderbolts, Moths, Harvards, etc. He was wounded in 1945 when a bomb splinter struck him in the head while in Bombay
