A good Meiji period Sectioned ivory okimono of a standing Farmer, the smiling figure has a hoe and is wearing a hat. His right hand holds a tobacco pouch or Sagemono with manju and kiseruzutsu. Sumi inkwork decoration. Mostly carved from one piece with additions, signed on base. Height 25 cm
