Large Wooden Model of a Canoe from the Taranaki region with plain rounded hull, painted black outside with a type of reed nailed inside for floor. Black wooden bracing, rauawa painted red, 2 paua shell inlays on top of hull at each end. Simple, crude carvings painted red with spirals painted in black.
