Borgward Isabella Coupe. Carl F W Borgward was the charismatic proprietor of the Hansa Company in Bremen, Germany, which he had acquired in 1929, producing individual and technically advanced motor cars in pre-war years. From 1938 onwards the Hansa cars were marketed as Borgwards. In 1954 the Isabella was launched, a unitary-construction car powered by a four cylinder 1,493cc engine which in the sporting TS75 version developed 75bhp, giving it a sprightly performance
