A George III rococo sterling silver chalice, 1795 London, with maker's mark for Daniel Pontifex, the inverted bell shaped bowl finely embossed and chased with shield medallions of roses in bloom surrounded by C-scrolls and trailing flowers, around a vacant crested rococo cartouche, raised on a flared stem engraved with a stiff leaf border and circular spreading foot with floral and reeded decorations, marked on foot.
