*** Brass Ecclesiastical seal. This seal was brought to New Zealand by Bishop Selwyn, the first Anglican Bishop of New Zealand 1841 to 1858. Even though the seal has been made to read left to right instead of the usual right to left it was used by the Bishop as this seal matches wax impressions on official church documents held at Nelligen House, Parnell, the offices of the Diocese Secretariat. This seal was later given to a member of the vendor's family as they were manufacturing jewellers, R. Young and Co.… ***
*** A 1970’s 9ct. gold trophy cup on a turned wooden base, the fluted spreading foot with a round knop leading to bowl, the lower half with lobed decoration, the rim with decorative beading, large ear shaped handles to the side, stamped 9ct. and Fm for the New Zealand silversmith, Fred Money. Height on wooden stand 27 cm, diameter 9 cm, weight approx. 250 gms ***
