O.C. Stephens (1898-1980) large green monochrome glazed vase ovoid form with incised ribs to the shoulder. Printed signature mark. Height 17.5 cm. Note: Oswold Counsell Stephens was a notable New Zealand teacher, chemist and potter. He was born in Dunedin, he was elected a life member of the New Zealand Society of Potters in 1965, together with Elizabeth Matheson and olive Jones.

Distinctive owl' monogram impressed to side Betty Beadle (1924-2002) was born in lake Macquarie, NSW and completed her studies at the Newcastle National Art school.
