Painted in a Japonaiserie style, possibly by Christopher Dresser, a pair of hand painted Minton vases of globular form with an aqua ground, swimming gold fish decorations, enamelled and applied gilt air bubbles, three prawn shaped feet each, whose bright orange feelers extend upwards, the upper sections of the vases having three continuous gilt bands intersected by a band with translucent rice grain patterns, backstamped with the puce mark.
