A large George III sterling silver tankard, 1762 London, with maker's marks for William Shaw and William Priest, the tapering straight-sided tankard of typical form with a slightly spreading base and a domed hinged lid, with a generous 'C' scroll handle and an acanthus scroll thumb piece, with engraved threading and reinforcing rings to the body, and a stag crest; hallmarked to the upper body and lid, silver weight 768gr height 19.5 cm
