An oak Melbourne Stock Exchange chair 19th century in the Gothic revival style, the green leather upholstered back surmounted by a carved monogram and three fleur de lys finials, the roll over arms and contoured seat raised on turned legs and stretchers, mounted with a silvered plate to the crest rail inscribed ' this chair is one of 120 used for 70 years by the stock exchange of Melbourne in their call room until the close of call trading at that exchange in December, 1961'
