A 3.48 carat solitaire diamond ring, Cartier. Four claw set with a modern round brilliant cut diamond of known weight, set either side with single cut diamonds (one stone replaced with a modern brilliant cut diamond) Platinum. Weight 4.23 grams. Size R. Shank signed Cartier, 'J C' and hallmarked London 1976. Hand engraved stock numbers. (This stone was repolished in 2012 to improve clarity from VVS2 to Internally Flawless). Accompanied by original Cartier, London receipt dated May 7, 1962. Accompanied by GIA Diamond Grading Report number 1138052974, dated February 23, 2012 stating weight 3.48 carats, D colour and Internally Flawless clarity. Accompanied by HRD Diamond Grading Report number 1102513,3001, dated September 2, 2011, stating weight 3.59 carats, D colour and VVS2 clarity. Accompanied by memos from Belsky, Hatton Garden, London and Cheong Tai Co, Hong Kong documenting re-polishing process.
