A rare Chinese square corner cabinet, Shanxi Province, Ming Dynasty, 14/15th century, the multi paneled cabinet with two central panels hinged as doors, decorated along the top & sides with applied ruyi lappets, a border of pierced & carved short panels with floral motif, evidence of multi coloured lacquers, stand on wide legs with lotus shaped pads. Condition: good with obvious wear to feet, with some replacement pieces. Reference: Evans, Curtis. Traditional furniture from the Greater Shanxi Region.
