Ross London telescope with William Boyle 12th Earl of cork& Orrery Inscription having a single draw tube with a sliding sunshield, a sliding eyepiece protector & pull off lens cover, the tube inscribed M.H. From W.H.D.B 'Daphne' 99.00.01. Ross London no 31406'. H.M.S Daphne was a sloop ship of 1,140 tons, launched 29th May 1888. 'M.H. was Possibly M Horrigan who was a Gunner on the Daphne, Together with 'My Naval Life a Record of 55 Years Service By Admiral of the Fleet the Earl of Corkand Orrery G.C.B., G.C.V.O., K.C.B., C.B.'. Condition good, minor age related wear to the body, lenses in good order. Length unextended 42.5 cm. Length extended 62 cm
