A European chest on stand. Possibly Portuguese/Spanish, Eighteenth century, the large cabinet with a face of twelve cushion drawers each with fancy, pierced brass escutcheons over a carved continuous frieze, with substantial brass handles to each side and pierced backplates, the lower half with a carved and pierced hanging frieze supported on a substantial turned baluster and four barley twist legs. Height 161 cm. Width 115 cm. Depth 54 cm Illustrated.
