A sapphire and diamond brooch, circa 1910, the rectangular step cut blue sapphire of known weight 21.66 carats in a pierced diamond set frame. Platinum. Weight 12.1 grams. Length 4.4 cm. Width 2 cm. Accompanied by GSL Gemstone Authentication Report number AA55738, dated 14/9/15 stating Natural Blue sapphire, Origin Ceylon, no evidence of heat treatment identified.
