Kodak Australian Federation photograph album, album records the visit to Melbourne in May 1901 of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York (later King George V and Queen Mary) who came to open the first Federal Parliament. The Royal visit confirmed Australia's links with Britain and was a festive and grand ceremony. The streets of Melbourne were decorated with arches, banners and flags in honour of the Royal couple. Arches include Triumph arch, Edward VII arch, butter box arch, Chinese arch, Queen Victoria arch, German arch, etc., album with a cream Buckram cover, 15.4 cm high, 18.1 cm wide, 1.5 cm deep
