A fine French brass mantel clock. Late 19th century, with maker's mark for Japy Freres, Paris, and retailed through Drummond & Co Melbourne. An elegant gong strike clock with a mercury filled pendulum, the dial with gothic rose window tracery and Arabic numerals set within a deep bezel in a simple glazed cabinet with an extended brass cornice and base.
