A large early Victorian sterling silver salver, 1840 Sheffield, with maker's marks for Henry Wilkinson, of generous proportions, cast with a richly scrolled foliate border and four scrolled feet, centred with a finely chased contemporary coat of arms bearing the Latin motto 'Spes Mea in Futuro Est', My Hope for the future, within foliate arabesques. Silver weight 1820gr. Height 5.5 cm. Diameter 43 cm
