A Victorian burr walnut box in the Gothic manner, late 19th century, the rectangular lidded box with a slightly rounded profile and decorated with engraved and shaped strap embellishments with studs, a plain shield similarly framed to the centre, with an elaborate shaped escutcheon, lined to the interior in a pale blue fabric.
