A fine inlaid Vernis Martin rosewood secretaire, 19th century, with a painted panel signed Chaussy, the secretaire with bombe profile having a marble top above a single drawer and a fall front compartment with a fitted interior, the fall front with a well painted bucolic scene in the 18th century manner, two further drawers below, with feather banded reserves and superb floral inlay, with a shaped apron and raised on splayed feet, with pierced gilt metal mounts and trims throughout and sabots. Height 144 cm. Width 75 cm. Depth 40 cm
