An impressive antique Continental faience jardiniere, 19th century, probably Italian, the lobed oval form jardiniere with fantastic applied griffin handles, raised on a waisted pedestal to a quatrefoil base, decorated in typical ochre, yellow, green and blue translucent colours and depicting classical figures in a landscape setting, an additional landscape to the reverse; unmarked.
