An Austrian .812 silver gilt cup and saucer. 1840 Vienna, with 13 loth mark, and maker's mark Lw, of ornate lobed form, both cup and saucer impressed with shell and floral style motifs, the waisted cup with an elaborate scroll handle, the saucer bearing an inscription in honour of the beneficiary's 80th birthday; hallmarked to border of saucer and rim of cup. Silver weight 276gr. Height 9 cm. (cup) diameter 17.5 cm. (saucer)
