The Pinafore picture book, by WS Gilbert First Edition. The Pinafore Picture Book: The Story of H.M.S. Pinafore told by W.S. Gilbert. (London: George Bell and Sons 1908). This is the publisher's DELUXE Edition bound in white cloth with pictorial gilt covers, top edge gilt. Printed on hand-made paper and illustrated by Alice Woodward with 16 wonderful mounted colour plates, 2-colour pictorial title page, pictorial endpapers and 12 very fine pen and inks in the text in Woodward's Art Nouveau style.
