Two pieces of Congolese ivory, mid 20th century, one piece utilising the natural form of the tusk and lightly carved and incised to depict a crocodile and supported on small wooden stands; the other, a portrait bust of a traditional woman with braided hair supporting a water gourd, also upon a wooden stand. Height 12.5 cm. (head) length 27 cm.
