A French black marble clock garniture, late 19th century; mechanism by Vincent et Cie, with a drum head, reeded pillars to the side and applied putti to the base, the central glazing displaying a mercury filled pendulum, an enamel dial with Arabic numerals and a visible escapement marked Calmus, the whole upon a plinth base, the black marble embellished with rose marble inlay; the tazze conforming.
