Engraved brass index arm. Ivory vernier. Index mirror, filters are missing. Horizon & back horizon glasses. Sight vane double peep with pivoted cover. Backsight with single peep, the Wm Stephenson on the name plate is not listed in Clifton so it could be the owner or an American maker. No case. Contemporaneous with the quadrants which would have been used by the captains and officers of the first Fleet.
