Description:
A fine pair of Chinese ruby-ground medallion bowls, Daoguang six character mark in underglaze blue and of the period, 1821-1850, each one with four, floral gilt-rimmed medallions representing the four seasons, painted in enamels, the interior with a vase of flowers and four floral sprays, all in cobalt blue. 15 cm diameter. Provenance: Sydney private Collection, purchased in Ashfield, Sydney, circa 1990.
