A Japanese brass striking lantern clock (Kake-Dokei) on bracket, circa 1860, signed, the brass chapter ring engraved with Japanese characters revolving against a pierced steel hand, with a foliot escapement, flanked by hinged side doors with latches, beneath a domed bell, signed to the interior of the case; together with a red lacquered bracket, the clock 20 cm high; the bracket 41 cm high (lacking foliot weights and hood for bracket).
