An impressive Chinese Suzhou embroidered silk panel Qing Dynasty, 19th century, rectangular, embroidered with a detailed scene of waterfowl, ducks, pheasants, parrots and swallows flying in and around the foliage of a water's edge, the whole worked in a variety of traditional stitches, housed within an original fret worked rosewood frame, (small restoration area to fretwork), the frame 133.5 x 96 cm. note: Suzhou embroidery crafted in areas around Suzhou, Jiangsu province was one of four important cultural centres for embroidery design and production in china.
