A pair of Sevres porcelain plates painted by Moreau, mid-19th century, circular with a lightly-lobed edge, the centres painted respectively with busts of Madame du Barry and Madame De Montesquieu, both signed, the ivory borders painted with flowers within foliate gilt frames, the outer edges respectively Sevres blue and pink, each underside with printed grey-blue 'Sevres 1844', red 'Chateau Des Tuileries', and green 'S. 37' marks and painted inscriptions identifying the sittersDiameter 24.5 cm.
