Good collection of five brass Aboriginal King & Queen plates, including: 'Alice/ Queen /Of St. Clair', 'Toby/ King/ of Coal River', 'Peter/ King Of/ Wurtimurti/ Bourke Darling River' (NSW), 'King Billy/ Boondoomba' (QLD), 'Hong Gong/ Chief-Of-The Namidge Tribe/ Presented By Mr Campbell 17th Jan 1837' (ACT?) all enhanced with engravings of Aborigines, fauna, etc. Width of Queen Alice plate: 17 cm. Provenance: Vizard Foundation. Notes: of particular interest could be the coal river gorge if it relates to the lost Tasmanian Aborigines, however an area with the same name also exists in Newcastle.
