A good French transitional-style ormolu-mounted kingwood bureau-de-Dame, late 19th/early 20th century, serpentine all round, the top with a three-quarter gallery with a marble tray top above drawers and open compartments, the pull-out baize-lined writing surface above a shaped frieze drawer, on slender cabriole legs, decorated with diaper-pattern marquetry and ormolu mounts throughout. Height 98 cm. Width 77 cm. Depth 55 cm.
