A Victorian carved ivory presentation staff 19th century, the staff finely carved with long turned handle with acanthus leaf decoration surmounted by a removable crest of the Prince of Wales, the back of which has a polished brass plaque inscribed 'Lying in Charity For Poor Married Women at Their Own Habitations Instituted 1757', complete with the original leather bound fitted case, 56 cm long.
