A fine quality French cut brass and tortoiseshell inlaid and ebonised bracket clock signed P. Le Maire, Paris, circa 1680, the count wheel striking silk suspension movement and brass Roman numeral chapter ring housed within an ebonised case with glazed panelled sides, the whole inlaid with tortoiseshell panels and foliate cut brass decoration and string inlay, beneath an arched pediment, engraved signature to movement and brass plaque to the front of the case, 27 cm high.
