A Chamberlains Worcester part dessert service, English, circa 1840, with wide duck egg blue borders ad gilt, comprising: 23 plates 23 cm four serving plates 27 cm and a pierced pedestal serving bowl 19 cm high, pattern number 3395 Provenance: Whitesides family Hobart. James Whitesides who traded as Whitesides & Co.arrived in Tasmania from Ireland in 1832, the firm was awarded a gold medal at the great Exhibition for furniture manufacturers. As well as manufacturing furniture, they imported goods for sale and supplied furniture to Government house, Hobart.
