A fine early Victorian ladies work box, with brass edging and ring handles on four scroll, paw feet. All surfaces inlaid with tortoiseshell panels and mother of pearl borders, the top inlaid with stylised pearl shell leaves around a centre panel, black painted with the amorial crest of Sir Robert Drummond Moncreiffe. Fitted blue satin. Interior with 4.2 cmpools of coloured silk. Height 21 cm. Width 28 cm
