A fine set of six George III mahogany dining chairs. This design is attributed to the architect, sir john soane. Related chairs are illustrated: R. Edwards The Shorter Dictionary Of English Furniture, London, 1964. p.162, fig.185. Soane adopted the same design for his parlour chairs at Wellbeck St and then at his Lincoln's Inn Fields mansion.
