A 19th century French cut brass inlaid scarlet tortoiseshell boulle bonheur du jour, the serpentine shaped top with recessed fitted cabinet above a twin door and corresponding drawer configuration, below a single full width drawer to front with a fitted folding leather tooled writing slope within, the whole with fine foliate cut brass inlay on a scarlet ground raised on cabriole legs with gilt metal shoulder mounts and sabots, 75 x 132 x 53 cm.
