A superb Napoleon III secretaire Abattant, circa 1870, the tall cabinet with grey marble top and ormolu banding throughout displays a fine quality lozenge parquetry inlay of ebon and kingwood to all front drawer surfaces, with four full width drawers and a further two false drawers opening to reveal a fitted recessed interior with three further tiny drawers. Height 127 cm. Width 70 cm. Depth 36 cm.
