A French portrait miniature on ivory, circa 1800, the oval portrait depicting a young man, dressed in a white shirt and jabot, a navy coat and a waistcoat, the reverse enclosing a lock of hair and an oval enamelled cartouche with the initials R.W within a seed pearl surround and a border of plaited hair, within a rose gold frame, 7.5 cm high.
