An Early Ambrym Fern Mask, (rom) elongated vertical diamond shape with green and red pigment and plant fibre band, well used weathered patina. Such masks are used during festivities within the secret man's Ole society and are traditionally destroyed after use. Ambrym Island, Vanuatu. Length 77 cm Width 13 cm.
