Japanese ivory chess set (c mid-20th C), a spectacular hand carved ivory chess set, with pieces housed in fitted individual drawers within a custom made rosewood table (80 x 80 x 60 cm). The table is probably Chinese. The chess pieces are natural white and traditional light brown stained. The Kings and queens measure 15 cm tall
