A large Cantonese export famille rose Gu-Shaped vase, late Qing, late 19th century the fine Chinese export vase painted in famille rose palette to the flaring neck, base and belly with alternating C-scroll panels of interior figural scenes and birds on blossoming branches with butterflies, surrounded by floral sprays and scrolling foliage with bats and insects upon a gilt ground, and with a decorative border to the inner rim. Height 35.5 cm, diameter 22 cm
